What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Downloads

When a visitor downloads any file available on our download page we collect their IP address and filename of the downloaded file. This is solely to count the number of files downloaded and view download trends. Your IP is recorded solely to filter out duplicate downloads to get the counts as accurate as possible.

Forum

When visitors register on our forum we collect the data shown in the registration form, and also the visitor's IP address to help spam detection and prevention.

Cookies

Registered forum users may opt-in to saving your login details in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you visit the forum at a later time. These cookies can last for many years depending on your browser and how often you visit.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a post on our forum, the post and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is what forums are for.

What rights you have over your data

Where we send your data

Forum registrations and users posts may be checked through automated spam detection services: StopForumSpam, Project Honeypot, BotScout, and DNSBL List from Spamhaus. Provided URL's in the comments will be checked for malware sites againgst Google Safe Browsing API to protect other visitors of this site.


Tracking

The forum software tracks your usage only while logged in and using the forum. Outside of that, there is no tracking. We don't like to be tracked, so we don't do it. We do not send any tracking data to third parties nor do we process your data ourself.
